West Lafayette weekly night session (details inside)

Ok so there's getting to be way too many skaters in lafayette to not have one of these...

I was thinking, on a day sometime through monday-thursday, we could meet somewhere on the Purdue campus and go from there (as of now, there's a bunch of skaters on the purdue campus so it would be an easy spot to meet at) and I think we should have a few sessions skating around purdue at first, find the new freshman skaters and all that homo stuff.

So anyway, put your vote in here for the night. So far I know me, Ben Guipe, Andy Deddens, Will Bean, and some others will be down for this..

Oh and post up what would be a good time to meet, im thinkin 6 or 7

anyday is good for me really....campus is kind of iffy...most of the spots have been 'fixed' but there are still a couple good spots left

Well when I get back on the 15th or so I know I'll try to get a session going the week before school, I'll call you up for sure.

Seems like a pretty good idea. I basically never skate when I'm up at purdue, and I think that should change. Homework/Labs/Projects are traditionally due for me at the end of the week, so I vote for monday or tuesday.

im down for just about whenever. i do how ever have practice during the spring everyday 6 to 8 and durin the fall a couple days a week... but screw it i can skip a few.

I keep meeting bladers at the skatepark. We migth wanna hit it up a couple thursdays to recruit people. I tell them to get on indianainline.com but havent seen any of them show up here yet.

Hey Rich, how is that lafayette skatepark anyway? I was there once maybe a year ago, and all the quarter pipes just sort of emptied out into nothing. I think they weren't done with the place though

They wasted sooo much money on that park its unreal...crappy coping...packed waaaay too much shit in a small area imo

...but yeah...its all we got within a 20 min drive....haha so I drive to Frankfort a lot

I live 3mins away so I just go there after work. It has a lot of small stuff to learn on for me. It has no round rail tho so might start hiting up frankfort. The lafayette park is not worth a roadtrip tho, id say, from any other city other than west lafayette.

Ok, just curious because I'm moving back up to Lafayette in a couple weeks for the new semester. I'd be up for occasionally carpooling to frankfurt since that park sounds significantly better.

I'd be down to have the skate session not this thursday but the next if anyone's in town. I think Andy should be moved in by then, probly Andrew too...

I think well have to shoot for Thursday as the night for the session.

yeah that picture doesnt show how the coping is sitting below the deck in most places and the rest isnt even full round (used cheapo bent metal with a tiny lip)

...or the fact that the angle iron is falling off a lot of the boxes

Last saturday I went to the frankfort park. I went early and got there around 11am. Place was empty, had it all to myself. But i could only stay for about an hour, was just way too hot. It was nice. The pyramids had some very steep transitions tho.

Its somthing at least. They did fix the metal falling off the boxes but they still slide really slow. I wish they had a low round rail I could practice on.

ok so this Thursday (8/20) where are we meeting up at (assuming its not raining)? I have a car so I can meet up where ever

I say we could meet up at my apartment, or some other place on campus, then head out and SHRED. I kinda wanna skate campus once for the shit of it and to meet new freshmen skaters, but we could also go to the park. I could make a new poll if that works for the location

I live at 401 harrison street apartment 2c, or we could meet at the animal hospital ledge or something

rain is suppose to be hardest thursday but dry up friday, backup plan to have it on friday if thursday gets rained out?
